The Salty Wax Bar is located Inside Sola Salons in the Ocean County Mall Plaza in Toms River, NJ! Sola Salons is located right next to Applebees and Ichiban! Once you enter Sola Salons, please head all the way in the back towards the bathroom to Studio 24!

Sola Salons has a strict front door policy! The front doors are open from 9am-6pm Tuesday-Friday, 9am-4pm on Saturday, and CLOSED COMPLETELY on Sundays & Mondays!

BUT DON’T WORRY!!! If you arrive and the door is locked, please CALL the studio OR use the call box to the right of the door (instructions are posted)!

Waxing while using any medications that are intended for acne use or with a sunlight warning is extremely dangerous to the skin! These medications often thin the skin, making it very common for the skin to lift or burn while waxing. Some examples are Accutane, Retinol A, Renova, benzoyl peroxide, antibiotics, hormonal medications, Lyme medications, and/or chemotherapy drugs.

If you are on any of these medications, terminate all waxing until you consult with your doctor and provide a written doctor’s consent.

1. Make sure the area is freshly cleaned! Meaning NO oils, lotions, deodorants, or other body products on the skin!

2. Exfoliate in the shower with a Waxing Approved body scrub or exfoliating glove to remove all dead skin cells!

3. **OPTIONAL** Take Tylenol 30 minutes prior to your appointment!

4. Wear loose, comfy clothes to your waxing appointment!

5. Arrive 10 minutes early to go through client consult!

***AVOID caffeine and alcohol 24 hours prior to your appointment if you can 🙂 ***

Get ready for your life to change girlfriend!!!! Your first Brazilian Wax is going to leave you so smooth you are going to want to ditch that razor forever!

Upon arrival, I will walk you through exactly what to expect during your wax. Then, you will be asked to undress and lay on the bed. We will start with cleansing and prepping the skin to be waxed. Now, the fun part, THE WAXING!!! We will slowly go, one strip at a time, with lots of communication!! After the front is complete, I will apply the Nourishing Oil to help calm the area. Last but not least, THE BUTT STRIPPP! This is the easiest part of the entire service!!

That’s it girlfriend! In just under 10 minutes, your first Brazilian wax will be completed and you’ll be hooked from here on out!

Make sure you purchase and keep up with the appropriate aftercare recommended to you!

The BIKINI FULL is just the front (including bikini line, pubic bone, and labias)! The BRAZILIAN is EVERYTHING front to back (including the entire bikini full and the butt strip)!

To be considered a candidate for waxing, the hair must be at least the length of a grain of rice (10mm), which is equal to AT LEAST 2 weeks of hair growth WITHOUT shaving! ****The LONGER the BETTER****

At The Salty Wax Bar, ZERO trimming is required before an appointment! It is actually recommended NOT to trim at home! If you do trim at home, you MUST leave the appropriate amount of hair to wax! If the Hair is TOO SHORT, the service will not be provided, and you will be asked to reschedule!

Every person is different when it comes to how fast the hair grows! The general rule of thumb is every 4-6 weeks for body areas and every 2-3 weeks for facial and underarm waxing!

The Salty Wax Bar will NOT wax any bikini services sooner than 3 weeks!!!!

The Salty Wax Bar prefers and strongly recommends being fully nude when receiving a bikini service for the best results!

ABSOLUTELY!! Waxing during your monthly cycle is a very normal thing! All we ask is that you wear a fresh tampon or menstrual cup to your waxing appointment!

If you feel the need to reschedule your waxing appointment, please refer to the cancellation policy!

Waxing while pregnant is STRONGLY encouraged all the way up to your due date UNLESS stated otherwise by your doctor!

The Salty Wax Bar exclusively uses the best hypoallergenic and vegan hard wax on the market! The wax is free of any bee products and pine rosins, making it the most comfortable waxing experience of your life!!!

-After getting waxed, you will feel tingly for the next 24 hours, THIS IS NORMAL!!

-Things you MUST AVOID: hot tubs, tanning beds, saunas, working out, sexual activity, or tight clothing for the first 24-48 HOURS!!!

-Get comfy and wear your favorite loungewear!

-Make sure you avoid exfoliating for the first 24 hours

-Must use your Nourishing Oil the night of your wax and continue daily after that to avoid unwanted ingrown hairs!

You could be breaking out with ingrowns for many reasons! Rule number one is NO PICKING!!! The Salty Wax Bar offers an entire line of aftercare products that are designed specifically to combat breakouts and avoid ingrown hairs!! Please do not skip out on your aftercare!!!

This is NORMAL and exactly what we want! Less hair growing back is what we want! Over time, your hair growth will change to a very thin and fine texture and, in some areas, not grow back at all!!

Of course, waxing is not the best feeling in the world, but The Salty Wax Bar takes pride in providing the least painful experience you could receive!

It is preferred and strongly encouraged that you do not bring a friend with you into the studio! There is a waiting area right outside the door for friends to wait until your service is complete.

The Salty Wax Bar is kid-friendly to an extent!! There is more than enough room for a stroller or baby carrier (I love seeing your little munchkins) inside the studio! Small children who can stay seated are welcome! If you know your child can not sit still or listen to directions, please try and make arrangements prior to your appointment due to the presence of HOT WAX in the room!

All services offered are available to make clients with the exception of intimate areas! This means The Salty Wax Bar will NOT perform Brazilians, Bikini services, or Butt services on any men!

***MUST READ BEFORE BOOKING***

Here at The Salty Wax Bar, our cancellation policy is as follows… cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment time will result in you being charged 50% of your service price. We have a strict 5-minute late policy, so we suggest planning extra time for traffic and parking! If you are 6 minutes or more late, you will be considered a no-show client. ALL no-show clients will be charged 100% of your service price!!!!

NO REFUND POLICY… The Salty Wax Bar has a no-refund policy on all services. If you are unhappy with your waxing appointment and contact the studio within 5 days of your appointment, we will offer you a touch-up and do everything we can to correct the issue! However, if the studio is contacted after the 5-day period, we unfortunately cannot offer a touch-up service.

This also applies to any products purchased! Zero refund will be given!
